Bun is free roaming in our house during the cold snap
We’re fortunate that our house has many doors
Free roaming rabbits is complicated because they are so curious and like to chew. Electric cords, plants, wood, shoes, upholstery are all fair game. Some of Bun’s exploration is expensive for us. Some could be deadly to her. This has deterred us from bringing her inside all the time.
Also, Bun loves cooler temperatures — 45-60 degrees Fahrenheit is an ideal range — and she does well in her condo on our screened-in porch. But when the temps fell below freezing this week, we decided to bring her inside for more than a minute.
When we’re at home, she has the run of the dining and living areas. This morning she breakfasted next to her stuffed pal.
Her home base is in my former office, where she overnights and enjoys hay, pellets, and cardboard.
Cleaning herself is a big part of her day.
It’s also important for Bun to care for her pal.
And finally, enjoy the postprandial rest.
