The verdict is in: Rabbits are smarter than dogs
Cooper and his dog food container stayed with us last week, and Bun was able to enter the canister for some unlimited snacking on forbidden treats.
No human was in the area when the breach occurred. Only Bun and Cooper know what happened, and they’re not talking. Cooper was unable to replicate the feat.
Fortunately, dog food is not poison for bunnies. They just don’t have the digestive enzymes to process meat. A rabbit will suffer if it ingests dog food in large quantities and over time. Bun is fine, as sassy as ever.
