I love this post so much. This reminds me of what I love most about you and Chris. I tried to think of a way to describe how essential humor is that doesn’t sound cliche, and failed. And that’s exactly why it’s great.

The two of you make me smile so much. You have found the best way to keep a marriage fresh. A sense of humor keeps a couple focused on the reality of life. No matter what you’re going through, you two have handled it with grace and a sense of humor❀️

Ours is September 13. 26 years for us.

We usually end up at one doctors appointment on that day! I'm sorry that you have to deal with wound care. It's tedious, necessary, and uncomfortable (to say the least). I'm praying for you and hope that you can get some relief.

Congratulations in advance!

Wound care is indeed a bear. Eager to enter the phase when it’s not quite so painful. Nurses told me that the wound area is decreasing in size and viable tissue is close to 100%. Appreciate your prayers πŸ™πŸΌ

Hi, Leah! We ran into Matias yesterday, and he directed us here. I'm so glad he did, and I'm so sorry for all you've been through this year--you and the Family Pasch. As I read through all your posts, I'm marveling at the balance you are keeping and the clarity you provide in your writing. And I'm happy to be reminded here of the singular humor of both you and Chris (one can only hope that Angelika has had such a good life).

Dear Sally,

thank you so much for thinking of me. It took me some time to come to terms with the reality that Christoph and I were not meant to have a future together. Initially, it was difficult to accept, but as time has passed, I've come to realize that things happened for a reason. Looking back, I can honestly say that I'm grateful for how everything turned out..

In particular, I've come to realize that Christoph thinks he is funny. But he is not funny at all! It's clear to me that I lucked out in escaping a miserable relationship before it even started.

I guess I should thank Christoph for ignoring his dad's dreams and wishes.

Warmest Wishes - Angelika
