BUMMER! But you've been vaccinated and that's a good thing because since people have been vaccinated, very a few people are going into the hospital. Including a couple of folks, I know who's immune systems are quite weak right now. Hang in there, honey

In my experience, yes, Paxlovid does work that fast. I hope you don’t get the “Paxlovid mouth” as bad as I did. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Definitely have Paxlovid mouth. Eating oranges and raspberries helps.

Wish I'd known that. I found it to be much worse than the descriptions online implied, to me it was like rotten food dipped in iron shavings. Chewing gum helped but only while I was chewing, so my jaw got pretty sore.

…rotten food dipped in iron shavings… What an apt description.

Medical professionals like to use language that smooths over what’s really going on: you’ll feel some pressure, or a pinch, or a sting.

Uh, no, actually, it’s a sharp stabbing pain! Please finish quickly.

The citrus tip came from my 20-something daughter-in-law. Grateful for her.

Well that sucks! I agree that Paxlovid helps. Glad you could find it! Here’s hoping you can recover quickly with no bounce back infection. 💕

Hope you get well soon. Glad there’s Paxlovid for those that get Covid today! The variation in drug prices for people on different insurances in this country is insane!

So grateful for Paxlovid! And also that we know so much more about the virus. Those early days of uncertainty were truly frightening.

I am sorry! I hope you have a good recovery. I hope it's short for you! (When I got vaccinated, I was sick for months afterwards.)

I didn’t experience negative side effects with the COVID vaccine, fortunately. I know some who did, though and that sounds awful. I had a strong reaction after getting the second shingles vaccine but I recovered after a day or two.

I’ve been wondering if I would know if I was sick with the COVID virus or just a regular head cold. With this episode, I would have been surprised if it hadn’t been COVID. It hit me hard and fast.

So many Covid cases this summer. Learning it's not seasonal...feel better soon, friend.

It is certainly a tricky virus. As much as I’d like it to behave in a certain way (like ramp up in the winter and wind down in the summer), it apparently will do what it wants to do.

Oh no, just exactly what you didn’t need. Dammit. You’re way overdue for a break in this illness saga. Between the vaccines and meds, hopefully this will be mild and short-lived.

Yeah, this is really testing me, won’t pretend otherwise.
