The book — Cancer — Now What? — by Kenneth Haugk is good as reference and has lots of solid recommendations. As with many of the Stephen Ministry training materials, this book is helpful and easy to read. At 340 pages, it might be daunting for some, even though it is carefully arranged. None of the chapters are dense reading, but 340 pp is heavy.
I liked how he notes throughout the book that everyone’s experience is their own and what works for some might not work for everyone. Probably worth mentioning that it if/when you give to others … just so recipients don’t think they need to study this book in addition to all of the other things that might be on their plate.
“The psychological long game:” this most perfect depiction is helpful in ways I can’t describe. Following your progress brings clarity to my uncertain progress and it makes stages and protocols and plans less daunting. Keep writing Leah.
Dear Leah , What a courageous dear woman you are, and how more is the quality of your life that you have read FEAR and benefitted from its leading you to face your fears and live with them! MUCH LOVE, Deb
That good looking chick in the photo has eggs in her hand.
I’m interested in whether the book I gave you was at all helpful. Your opinion will aid me in my decision to give it to others or not.
The book you shared sounds very deep in its message. 👍

Thank you. That’s all good to hear and I’ll certainly consider that advice if/when I give it to others.

Go see White Noise. I think you might like it.
Thanks for the recommendation. Looks clever. Greta Gerwig is always entertaining and permed hair is a bonus.
